Party Trick: Peppy Chocomallow Bites

Okay, here’s the scene. You have a holiday potluck, party, cookie exchange, FILL IN THE BLANK BAKED GOOD FESTIVITY. And like me, you don’t have a “knack” for baking. Or an oven. Or flour. Or butter. Or time. Or FILL IN THE BLANK REASON FOR NOT BAKING. So what do you do? Showing up empty handed isn’t an option. Oh Fudge

I’ve always had a sweet tooth. Maybe several. And it seems that when I started cutting down the salt, I grew a few more. I love chocolate. I love sour candies. I even love those Necco Wafers which, no offense, taste like cardboard. But since they’re in the candy aisle, I’ll happily eat them if that’s all that is available. So that’s pretty much all I have to say about my affection for confections. Big Love, Big News, Big Treats

Love food. Love others. But most of all, love yourself. That’s the message of today’s post and my attempt to tie three big topics together under one little photo of a chocolate covered quinoa treat. Cookie Hang

Oh me oh my – it’s the holidays. 96.5 has been blasting Christmas carols since the middle of November, store-front windows are sporting a menagerie of lights and pine needles, and people are gathering regularly for exchanges of gifts, goodies, and sweet treats. Last night my book club traded in well-read pages for a cookie hang which, for those of you who do not craft on a regular basis or own an absurd amount of tupperware, is an event in where people gather with enough baked goods for everyone to share.
