Weekly Obsessions 12.20.13

Banana Bon Bons

Okay, first of a all I finally made those banana bon bons from Nom Nom Paleo that I was talking about a few weeks ago. And you know what? BONKERS. Totally crazy good. Absolutely bananas. Literally.

And speaking of bananas, um hello, next week is Christmas. And even for those of us that don’t celebrate this holiday, we all know that the next few days will be hurried with wrapping, gifting, and spreading love. If this stresses you out a little, have another bon bon.

But hopefully these low-sodium gift guides (here and here) have helped you make your wish lists. And today, I have one more for guide you. There’s a catch though: these gifts aren’t just items people can buy for you…these are low-sodium essentials that also make the perfect presents for your friends and family. Why? Because they are the low-sodium snacks and kitchen staples that will help others cook excellent low-sodium food for you!

Holiday Gift Guide: Things That Go MMM

I’m talking about salt-free chips and granola bars (1)

I’m talking salt-free baking powder and marshmallows for desserts, cookies, breads, and banana s’mores (2)

I’m talking salt-free salsas, marinades, and spicy ginger sauce (3)

I’m talking salt-free spice blends (4) … check out Penzeys and Spicely too

I’m talking salt-free PICKLES!!! (5)

I’m talking everything you need for salt-free pizza (6) — like the magical GalloLea instant pizza dough and sauce. I mean…crazy

So get a basket. And fill it up this salt-free, low-sodium goodies. Give them to someone you love. And know you’ll be eating well at their house this year and those to come. Maybe throw in this little book too. You know, just to round it out.

Excellent ideas. I’ve never heard of some of these products, so I’ll definitely be giving a few of them a try really soon.

Hi-

I noticed your website has the Heluva Good “Reduced Sodium Cheddar Cheese” product. Schreiber recently started producing all of the Heluva Good cheese and we have discontinued this product. Can you have this product removed from your website? Please confirm.

Thank You,
Kalli
